Why they shine
Paris Saint-Germain have won the Champions League in consecutive seasons, something only Real Madrid managed between 2016 and 2018, and the second of the two was the harder. In Budapest on 30 May 2026 they fell behind to Kai Havertz after six minutes, equalised through Ousmane Dembélé's penalty, and won the shoot-out 4-3 after Gabriel put Arsenal's fifth over the bar. The 2025 title was no less emphatic, 5-0 against Inter in Munich. Dembélé's eighth goal of the campaign was Paris's 45th in the competition, and the club was named Club of the Year in London.
