Profile

Why they shine

SZA shares the 2026 Record of the Year with Kendrick Lamar for luther, the spare, warmly melodic duet that spent months at number one on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and anchored the soundtrack to one of 2025's biggest albums. Born Solána Rowe in St. Louis and raised in Maplewood, New Jersey, she built her name on the Top Dawg Entertainment roster before her 2017 album Ctrl became a generation-defining R&B record. Her third album, SOS, opened with the biggest streaming week ever recorded for an R&B album and sat at number one for ten non-consecutive weeks.
